A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Nicole Jackson graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Education. A nature enthusiast and park advocate, she loves spending time outside and has a passion for getting Black people connected to the wonders of the natural world. Nicole currently works as an environmental education consultant assisting organizations in creating programs that educate youth and families on how to build a healthy relationship with nature. She is also working on becoming a life coach to create nature therapy services for Black women. She serves as a Next Generation Advisory Council member for the National Parks Conservation Association, a co-organizer for Black Birders Week initiative, and is the founder of Black in National Parks Week, an initiative that celebrates Black history in U.S. national parks and amplifies the voices of African Americans who visit them.
