Patricia Wilson is an environmentalist and community organizer from Ontario, Canada. She graduated from Trent University in Peterborough, ON with a Bachelors of Science degree in Conservation Biology and has a diploma in Ecosystem Management from Sir Sandford.A nature lover at heart, and passionate about land protection, Patricia works as a Community Conservation Coordinator with Kawartha Land Trust - a local environmental non-profit that protects and conserves natural spaces and land, creating nature reserves and important buffer zones for wildlife. In her role Patricia engages the community in restoration and stewardship work and develops partnerships with local community organizations and businesses in order to spread awareness and inspire more people to get involved!
As a natural community engager and a strong advocate for racialized voices in the outdoors, Patricia is passionate about increasing diversity within the conservation and environmental field.In 2021 she founded Diverse Nature Collective, an organization dedicated to empower, mobilize and create space for Black, Indigenous and POC individuals within the environmental movement and reduce barriers in accessing nature.
